OBJECTIVE:Genetic diversity of Rhodiola crenulata and the main active ingredient content and the relevance of efficacy, and accurate evaluation of the efficacy and Rhodiola Rhodiola material basis for efficacy。METHODS:The use of modern molecular biology of RAPD molecular markers research on genetic diversity of Rhodiola, using HPLC analysis salidroside in different areas of Rhodiola, use animal models of hyperlipidemia and acute myocardial ischemia disease animal models as a research tool to lower blood lipid and anti-ischemic efficacy.RESULTS:Use of molecular markers of RAPD random amplified the Rhodiola DNA, the percentage of DNA polymorphic bands 79.9%, showing that Rhodiola has a rich genetic diversity, HPLC analysis revealed the origin of Rhodiola Rhodiola glycosides contained quite different, Malcolm origin Rhodiola contained highest of Salidroside, reaching 1.4%, the origin of xiaojing contained the lowest Salidroside that was 0.7%. Studies of lipid-lowering efficacy have shown that Rhodiola Malcolm origin can effectively reduce TC, TG, compared with the model group were significantly different, and for TC, TG reduction in value was significantly stronge than those of other origin. Studies of anti-ischemic efficacy have shown that Rhodiola Malcolm origin can effectively reduce the myocardial ischemia myocardial infarct size, LDH, CK, compared with the model group were significantly different, and reduced myocardial infarct size,the LDH and the CK was significantly strong than those of other originCONCLUSIONS:through studying on genetic diversity of Rhodiola, the determination of active ingredients, as well as lowering lipid and anti-ischemic efficacy, the study show that has rich genetic diversity of Rhodiola, the salidroside generates effect against cardiovascular disease. and salidroside and the resulting efficacy of salidroside showed some positive correlation, that is, the higher the salidroside content, the greater efficacy of the resulting increase significantly...
