BackgroundThe cause of dysarthria is the central or peripheral nerve injury,and the disorder of controlling of organs movement concerning to speech. It is reported that the incidence of dysarthria post-stroke was 30%-40%.15% of the patients were suffered by dysarthria for a long time, which seriously affecting the patient's daily communication. Dysarthria reduces the definition of speech and social communication, and affects their quality of life. Tongue movement disorders after stroke is an important part of dysarthria after stroke.The damage of hypoglossal nerve and contralateral cortex beam, can cause the weakness of tongue muscle,the abnormalation of muscle tension and the poor of motor coordination. And the emergence of sound, resonance, rhythm and other abnormalities, The symptom is can not show the tongue, or motion of showing the tongue is abnormal, the tongue is skew, uncoordinated movement, elevate difficultily, poor fine motor tongue, low muscle tension of tongue, high muscle tension of tongue, poor articulation, feeding difficultily, swallowing difficultily, nervous, atrophy and tremors of tongue muscle. It is significance for the patient's physical and mental health to improve the ability of articulation,tongue movement,communication. The acupuncture of tongue dysfunction is effective, convenient and inexpensive, which is greeted by the majority of patients. Acupuncture together with rehabilitation will be the important part on the treatment of dysarthria in future.ObjectiveThrough the acupuncture of Juequan point,Xingnao Resuscitation and the modern rehabilitation treatment of stroke patients with spastic dysarthria, assess the effect of the articulation ability and the tongue motor function of the patients before and after the treatment. And then objectively evaluate clinical efficacy of Juequan piont to the dysarthria and the tongue motor function. MethodsThe study used a randomized, controlled trial method, requiring people who met the inclusion criteria and randomly divided into treatment group and control group. Observe the improvement of dysarthria and tongue motor dysfunction before and after treatment, and assess the function through the Frenchay Articulation Organ Test and function of tongue movement, objective evaluate the clinical efficacy of Jueuquan point to tongue motor dysfunction after stroke.ResultsThe assessment of Frenchay Articulation Organ Test and function of tongue movement between the treatment group and control group before treatment shows no significant difference (P> 0.05); The assessment of function of tongue movement between two group after treatment shows significant difference (P <0.05); The assessment of Frenchay Articulation Organ Test between two group after treatment shows no significant difference (P> 0.05)ConclusionJuequan Point acupuncturing for the treatment of tongue movement disorders after stroke have a significant effect.
