ObjectiveThis study is TCM syndrome by observing different type of osteoporosis patients waist muscle strength and body fat content change, probes into muscle strength,body fat content,body mass index and bone mineral density (BMD) relations, complement of osteoporosis in muscle strength,fat content research and for TCM through the related to maintain muscle function, development related to prevent and treat osteoporosis preparation to provide certain theoretical basis.MethodsChoose from October 2010 to January 2011 bone mineral density detection of guangdong province part female patients,144 patients with diagnosis standard, the inclusion criteria and exclusion standard, age distribution in 50~75 years old. According to TCM syndrome differentiations in turn divided into: Kidney Yang failure group, liver-kidney Yin deficiency group, spleen and kidney Yang failure group and Qi stagnancy and blood stasis group. Four groups of patients were performed the waist back stretch muscle, muscle quantity and total body fat content detection. Finally the data counts the software establishment database with SPSS16.0, carries on the statistical analysis.Results1. Four groups of L1~4 average BMD compare, the BMD maximum is Kidney Yang failure group, the next is Spleen and Kidney Yang failure group, the BMD minimum is Qi stagnancy and blood stasis group, Four groups are pairwise comparison between statistical significance (P<0.05).2. Four groups of body mass index (BMI) compare, the BMI minimum is Qi stagnancy and blood stasis group, Kidney Yang failure group,liver-kidney Yin deficiency group and spleen and kidney Yang failure group are pairwise comparison between no statistical significance (P>0.05).Three groups group compared with Qi stagnancy and blood stasis group are statistically significant (P<0.05); BMI and L1~4 average BMD value is not obvious correlation.3. Four groups of body fat content compare, the body fat content minimum is Kidney Yang failure group, the next is Spleen and Kidney Yang failure group, the body fat content maximum is Qi stagnancy and blood stasis group, Kidney Yang failure group,liver-kidney Yin deficiency group and spleen and kidney Yang failure group are pairwise comparison between no statistical significance (P>0.05).Three groups group compared with Qi stagnancy and blood stasis group are statistically significant (P<0.05), The body fat content and L1~4 average BMD and T-score were negative relationship.4. Four groups of muscle strength compare, the muscle strength maximum is Kidney Yang failure group, the next is Spleen and Kidney Yang failure group, the muscle strength minimum is Qi stagnancy and blood stasis group, Kidney Yang failure group compared with Spleen and Kidney Yang failure group is no significant differences (P>0.05); Three groups group compared with Qi stagnancy and blood stasis group are statistically significant (P<0.05), The waist back muscle strength and L1~4 average BMD and T-score were positively correlated.Conclusions1. The BMD of Four groups from high to low is:Kidney Yang failure group, spleen and kidney Yang failure group, liver-kidney Yin deficiency group and Qi stagnancy and blood stasis group. Explain Qi stagnancy and blood stasis group syndrome osteoporosis is more serious than three other groups.2. From the bone mass slowdown began, muscle strength also increasingly decreases, and Explain the waist muscle strength positively related with bone density.3. As the growth of the age, weight also has certain change, and body mass index are no significant correlation between bone density. 4. Along with the development of osteoporosis, The human body fat content will increase gradually, explain fat content is inversely related with bone density. Therefore, We think that we can by means of Chinese medicine in tonifying Kidney,fortify the Spleen activate the Blood improve Spleen-Kindey function, in order to achieve delay and prevention osteoporosis purpose;when we cure osteoprosis we must both supply the Kidney and Spleen.This can solve the problem coming with muscle aging. This will bring positive significance to the cure of osteoprosis.
