Sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome is an important clinical problem, which is associated with upper airway obstruction or cessation of breathing during sleep leading to repetitive episodes of hypoxemia, hypercapnia, and sleep fragmentation. Sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome may also contribute substantially to the daytime sleepiness,poor quality of life, and increased Mortality during the night. Sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome can lead to multi-system, multi-target organs damaged. With the improvement of living standards, the morbidity of sleep apnea syndrome is increased. Sleep apnea hy popnea syndrome is associated with glomerular hyperfiltration and may be an independent predictor of proteinuria, arisk factor for chronic kidney disease progress ion. It is an important risk factor for chronic kidney disease progression. Renal function changes in early renal damaged is reversible. Sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome with the timely effective treatment can prevent complications. At present, continuous positive airway pressure therapy is first choice except surgery.
