OBJECTIVE: To study the dietary compliance of diabetes patients and the effect of the avertion therapy through the investigation on alimentotherapy, and to search for more effective behavior therapy and provide the scientific basis and guidline for advanced comprehensive nursing intervention.METHODS: 92 diabetic outpatients from the sixth hospital of Tongliao city were surveyed by filling out self-designed questionnaires investigating on the dietary compliance of diabetic patients, and we tested the height, weight, fasting plasma glucose(FPG),random plasma glucose (RPG), glycosylated hemoglobin(GHbA1c)and blood lipids of them. The patients were divided into trial group (N=48)and control group (N=44 ).We trained the patients in control group in a way of collective teaching one hour once a week, discussing 20-30minutes one time and some patients reveived teaching separately. When it came to the trail group,we trained them in the same way as the control group together with the advertion therapy including rubber band method, association method and Qi-closing method.Three monthes after the test,we collected the data of FPG,RPG,GHbA1c,blood lipids, blood pressure and MBI. All the patients were tested by Self-rating Anxiety scale (SAS) and Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS) before and after the therapy.RESULT: 1.Among the patients, there were 9.14% with good compliance (score≥60),21.23% with moderate compliace(score≥48),and 69.63% with low compliance(score < 48).2.The compliance score, FPG,RPG,GHbA1c were significantly better in the trail group than in the control group(p<0.05),but there were no differences on BMI,TC,TG, HDL-C,LDL-C,and blood pressure(p>0.05).3.There were no differences on SAS and SDS before and after the test in the trail group.CONCLUSION: 1. The level of dietary compliance was not well among patients with diabetes.2.It is better to applying advertion therapy than traditional teaching method to improve the level of dietary compliance of diabetes patients.Advertion therapy could be a simple, easy and strong practical method to nurse patients with diabetes.3.The advertion therapy had no negative effect on the mental health of diabetic patients.
