Objective Children with simple VSD were divided According to different age stages and DVSD/DAR to analysis the growth and risk of infection of them, and to understand the relation between the DVSD/DAR and the growth. Changes in defect size were longitudinal analyzed by following up of the patients. It was expected to further evaluate the value of divide methods in clinical.Methods 230 patients younger than 6 years old were selected, who were diagnosed as simple VSD in our hospital from January 2004 to January 2011, and following up was completed by questionnaire. Children who meet the conditions were divided by the sequence of age and DVSD/DAR radio. The measurement data and the average were recorded on data sheet. We tried to apply VSD scoring method to evaluate the risk of infection in children, including the Frequency of infections and infection duration and other information, and to calculate the mean and standard deviation of the histogram formation. Experimental groups and control groups were compared. Children who were followed-up more than two times a year and each of its Materials of the echocardiography data were collected to form of VSD diameter trends, it was analyzed that different size of defects in children with VSD and the probability of vesting conditions.Results Data sheet were obtained By DVSD/DAR ratio category and were further analyzed. The ratio of 1-year-old group, only the D group (DVSD/DAR≥1/2) and the control group were significant (P<0.05),5-year-old and 6-year-old Group and control group were significant(p<0.05); the weight of the situation was suggested that 1 years old group between C group (1/3≤DVSD/DAR<1/2) and A group (DVSD/DAR<1/4) (P<0.05), and the D group and other groups the differences were significant(P<0.01), between in 5-year-old group C, D group and A group had significant difference(P<0.05). In short, height and weight distribution of the tips of the differences between the control group were obvious(P<0.05), some differences between the study groups were statistically significant(P<0.05). From the results of infection score points according to the rules of children with VSD, we found that the smaller defects showed the fewer score, and generally consistented with the expected results. The longitudinal analysis was done in 90 patients with VSD, who were followed up for more than 2 times, and it was suggested that healing was rapid before 3-year-old, and slowly after 3-year-old Gradually.Conclusion When the children with simple VSD in the same age stage. the greater DVSD/DAR ratio is, the lower the level of growth and development. The smaller DVSD/DAR ratio shows the fewer score. The healing ratio of VSD before 3 years old is higher, and the radio is gradually slowed down after 3 years of age. The method of according to DVSD/DAR ratio to divide the VSD is more reasonable than judging by the size of the VSD method. And we can divide the defect that DVSD/DAR<1/3 into small VSD.
