ObjectiveTo explore the value of tissue Doppler imaging(TDI) in the evaluation of diastolic and systolic function in both left and right ventricles in patients of uremia, observed the change of heart function of uremic patients, which will be benefit for clinial treatment and further prognosis.MethodsTotally forty uremic patients and forty healthy individuals were enrolled. By Philips IE33 color Doppler ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus. The peak velocity of the early diastolic(E), peak velocity of the late diastolic(A) and E/A ratio through the bicuspid valve and tricuspid valve; The peak motion velocities at systole phase (Sm), peak motion velocities at early diastolic phase(Em), peak motion velocities at late diastolic phase( Am), Em/Am ratio in the left ventricular later wall and right ventricular later wall were examined by contrasting detection. A possible correlation was examined for echocardiographic measurements of left ventricular and right ventricular functions with bivariate correlation analysis.Results1.color Doppler imaging: comparison with the control group, the value of uremia group E,E/A ratio decreased,A value increased, there were statistical significance(P< 0.01).2.tissue Doppler imaging: comparison with the control group, the value of uremia group Em,Em/Am ratio decreased, Am value increased, there were statistical significance(P< 0.01).3.tissue Doppler imaging: comparison with the control group, the value of uremia group Sm decreased, there were statistical significance (P<0.05).4.The left ventricular function Em/Am had a positive relation with right ventricular function Em/Am(r=0.886. P< 0.01), and the left ventricular function Sm had a positive relation with right ventricular function Sm, too(r=0.875.P< 0.01).Conclusions1.Uremic patients had left and right ventricular diastolic dysfunction ,and so were systolic function.2.Uremic patients with normal ejection fraction, systolic function was impaired.3.Significant correlations were found among parameters of left and right ventricular function.4.tissue Doppler imaging could early and accurately examine abnormalities of cardiac function in patients of uremia, and is important to detection, diagnosis, treatment of uremia heart disease.
