Objective:to observe the difference of bending resistance between reinforced and unreinforced filling body, in order to explore the possibility of reinforced filling body possessing enhanced anti-fracture ability.Methods:silver amalgam and light-cured composite resin, as well as screw and fiber post were used in this study. According to the body whether is filled with reinforced restorations or not, The experiment was divided into experimental and control group. The experimental group consisted of three reinforced filling body, including silver amalgam and screw, light-cured composite resin and screw, light-cured composite resin and fiber post. And the corresponding control group were silver amalgam, light-cured composite resin and light cured composite resin. All filling body were made into six modules that had the same size. Then, each module was placed on the platform of Zwick/Z2.5 testing equipment and repeated the three-point bending test. And the loading value was recorded and analyzed when filling body appeared cracks and broke.Results:The loading value and maximum loading were sperarately 398.0±52.538N and 587.16±125.117N for silver amalgam and screw group,365.666±60.337N for silver amalgam group; 322.83±44.882N and 407.5±36.827N for composite resin and screw group,312.333N and 445.666N for composite resin and fiber post group, 309.333N for composite resin group. For each filling material, the reinforced possessed slightly larger loading value than the unreinforced when it appereared cracks, but there was no significant difference (P> 0.05). However, the maximum loading of reinforced was significantly larger than the unreinforced (P<0.05).Conclusion:During the treatment of dental disease, reinfoced filling body can enhance the anti-fracture ability.
