Objective: Using Surgical micro clip embedded tweezers buccal branch of the facial nerve, establishing the animal model of facial nerve injury for further study the HGF for repairment of facial nerve after injury.Methods: 20 SD rats were used for experiments, according to the experimental needs,the experiment were randomly divided into 2 groups, normal group (n = 10), surgical control group (n = 10), each choice to do the right facial nerve Injury model, after surgery,through observed the direction of movement of the rat beard, nerve conduction velocity to evaluate the success of the model.Results: In normal rats, the beard erection of forward and rhythmic moving ,operated rats lose the capacity, tentacles immediately dropped to the tail side . After surgery four weeks ,the Surgery group, nerve conduction velocity (7.40±0.67m/s) was significantly lower than normal nerve conduction velocity (18.30±1.11m/s p<0.01).Conclusion: The observed direction of movement through the tentacles of and detecting the nerve conduction velocity, through surgical micro clip the embedded facial nerve buccal branch of facial nerve can be successfully established an animal model.TGF-β-SMAD3 AFTER THE INJURY OF FACIAL NERVE Abstract: To investigate hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) for influence of the expression of TGF-βand Smad3 after facial nerve forceps clip injury; Methods: Acording to need, the experiment randomly divided into three groups ,experimental control group, normal saline group, HGF group , the adult SD rats were choice right lateral facial nerve establishing forceps clip injury model (n = 30), experimental control group (without any treatment,n=10), saline group (were injected with 10ul saline n=10), HGF group (10ulHGF,n=10), one month after , taking the cheek muscles, Using the skills of Immunohistochemical staining and Westernblot to check the expression of TGF-βand Smad3;Results: The immune chemical cumulative density of TGF-βand Smad3 of HGF group was(0.372±0.054;0.381±0.044), significantly lower than the experimental control group(0.577±0.065;0.561±0.074)and saline treated group(0.527±0.066;0.525±0.059,p<0.01), The relative TGF-βand Smad3 protein expression rate of HGF group was( 15.1±2.9; 15.1±3.1)%,compare with saline group(36.7±3.8;35.9±3.7)% and the experimental control group (36.4±4.4; 35.6±6.7)% was lower (p <0.01).Conclusion: HGF through blocking the signal of TGF-β-Smad3 to inhibit the fibrosis of the cheek muscle, thus is beneficial to nerve damage repairmen...
