Objective:To establish an acute peripheral neuropathy bama minipig model, the result provide useful information for further research associated with immune-related diseases on the model.and also provide useful information for the characteristics of campylobacter jejuni infection on the model. Methods :Campylobacter jejuni was isolated from the Guillain-Barre syndrome patients, identified by the China Center for Disease Control and Prevention and by the U.S.Center for Disease Control and Prevention as Campylobacter jejuni strains, serotype penner O:19 type lulei strains.culture the campylobacter jejuni lulei on Colombia blood agar plate under microaerobic condition at 42℃, 5% O2,10% CO2, 85% N2. prepare 1×106cfu/ml bacterial suspension, and then fed it of bama miniature pigs, food was deprivated for 12hours before feeding, and water for 4 hours.before and after feeding isolating was done.the bama miniature pigs were checked daily for clinical sings, food, stool and physical activities.for the limb weak bama miniature pigs, the spinal nerve root, sciatic nerve, brachial plexus were derived within 7days since the onset. Evaluat the pathology through osmic acid, silver staining,Luxol-fast-blue staining, immunohistochemistry, transmission electron microscope. Results:the bama minipigs infected by campylobacter jejuni lulei show abdominal distension, diarrhea at 1 week ,and limb weakness at 2 week.the spinal nerve root, sciatic nerve, brachial plexus show axonal degeneration,no demyelination.neuropathology was diagnosed as acute motor sensory axonal neuropathy. Conclusions:campylobacter jejuni lulei can be the agent for acute axonal neuropathy.the bama minipig can be animal model for the research of acute motor sensory axonal neuropathy.discussed methods of neural pathology.
