Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness of comprehensive treatment of Traditional Chinese Medicine combining with Western Medicine for the acute cerebral apoplexy with lung infection through random, comparative experiment research. This research attempts to formulate a comprehensive, feasible, effective treatment of Traditional Chinese Medicine with Western Medicine for he acute cerebral apoplexy with lung infection.Objects and Methods:Sixty cases of acute cerebral apoplexy with lung infection which admitted in Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of TCM, Affiliated Hospital of Medicine School of Chuan Bei, Panzhihua Hospital of traditional Chinese and Western Medicine during March 2009 to December 2010 were randomly divided into two groups:All of the patients were received the usual Western medical treatment adding with traditional ZhongFengXingNao(ZFXN) oral preparation, and the thirty patients of the treatment group were added Chinese decoction 50ml three times a day. The time is fourteen days. The effect observed indexes are as follows:The fatality, the hospitalization days, integration of symptoms and physical signs of TCM, neutrophils classification percentage, and so on. We will observe the adverse reactions during the treatment process, and analyzing data by SPSS 17.0 packages.Results:1. Fatality:There is no statistical significance in fatality of two groups on the 14th day;2. Hospitalization time:The hospitalization time of the treatment group is less than the contrast group. There is statistical significance between the two groups (P< 0.05). 3. Integration of symptoms:comparison between the two groups, the treatment group is superior to the contrast group in cough, phlegm, appetite decline, distension, thirsty and dry mouth in 7 days and 14 days, there is statistical significance (P<0.05). But there is no statistical significance in gasp, shortness of breath in 7 days and in 14 days except lung wheezing (P>0.05). 4. Integration of physical signs:there is no statistical significance in physical signs in 7 days and 14 days except lung wheezing (P>0.05)5. There is no statistical significance in Neutrophils percentage (P>0.05) 6. No severe adverse reactions happened during the treatment process both of the two groups. Conclusion:Compared with the chlorpromazine way, the TCM integration method for the lung infection during the acute period of cerebral apoplexy can shorten the hospitalization time, have an abvious advantage in improving symptoms including cough, phlegm, appetite decline, distension, and so on. There is no statistical significance in some physical signs, the total effective rate and inflammation absorption, it is necessary to expend the sample size and research further.
