Objective:To study the pathogenesis, treatment and preventive measure of Gastroparesis Syndrome after pancreatic resection. Methods:The clinical data from 9 cases of Gastroparesis Syndrome after pancreaticresection were review retrospectively. Results:Patients who over the age of 60, preoperative outflow tract obstruction, extensive surgery range, long operation time, postoperative abdominal complicationsget a higher prevalence in this group. Poor nutritional status before surgeryon the incidence of postoperative gastroparesis syndrome was not statistically significant effect. The incidence of postoperative gastroparesis syndrome is not statistically significant between the Child Technique and PPPD.The clinical maninfestation, barium meal examination and gastroscopy are the main diagnostic methods. All the patients recovered by undergoing conservative treatment within 6 weeks. Conclusion:Old age, outflow tract obstruction before resection, extensive surgery range, long operation time, postoperative abdominal complications and advanced cancer maybe the high risk factors of Gastroparesis Syndrome after pancreatic resection. The incidence of postoperative gastroparesis syndrome is consistent between the Child Technique and PPPD.Combined conservative treatment is the effective treatmentmethods of gastroparesis and multiple operation should be avoided as low as possible.
