【Objective】To study the expression of RECK,MMP-2,MIF in the hypopharynx carcinoma tissues,and to explore the relationship between them with it's invasion and metastasis.【Methods】The expression of RECK,MMP-2,MIF was detected in 22 cases of hypopharynx carcinoma and 10 specimens of benign lession(vocal polyp) by immumohistochemistry. The tumor tissues,metastasis lymph and adjacent normal tissue were detected respectively.【Results】The expression of RECK was significantly lower in primary and metastasis of hypopharynx carcinoma than that in adjacent normal tissue and the benign lession . The expressions of RECK in the metastasis hypopharynx carcinoma is lower than that in the unmetastasis'.The expressions of RECK in the hypopharynx carcinoma III,IV stages is lower than that in the I,II stages.The expression of MMP-2,MIF was significantly higher in primary tumors and metastasis of hypopharynx carcinoma than that in the adjacent normal tissue and the benign lession . The expressions of MMP-2,MIF in the metastasis hypopharynx carcinoma is higer than that in the unmetastasis'. The expressions of MMP-2,MIF in theⅢ,Ⅳstages hypopharynx carcinoma is higer than that in theⅠ,Ⅱstages'.【Conclusion】RECK may play an important role in the invasion and metastasis of hypopharynx carcinoma.And the mechanism maybe has something with RECK can inhibitory the expression of MMP-2.MIF may play an important role in the invasion and metastasis of hypopharynx carcinoma.The later stage of disease, the higher expression of MIF in primary tumor and metastasis. 【Objective】To explore the expression levels of RECK protein and RECK mRNA in the nasopharyngeal carcinoma tissues and the relationship of it with it's metastasis.【Methods】The expression levels of RECK protein and RECK mRNA were detected in the Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma tissues (20 cases)and the chronic nasopharyngitis tissues (6 cases) by the real time PCR and immunohistochemistry.【Results】The expression levels of RECK in the nasopharyngeal carcinoma is lower than that in chronic nasopharyngitis tissues, the expressions of RECK in the nasopharyngeal carcinoma III,IV stages is lower than that in the II stages ,the expressions of RECK in the metastasis nasopharyngeal carcinoma is lower than that in the unmetastasis'(P <0.05).【Conclusion】RECK may play an important role in the clinic stages and metastasis of Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma.
