Objective:we explored the risk factors of postoperative venous thromboembolism (VTE) in the department of obstetrics and gynecology, for distinguishing the high-risk patients, also offering help with preventing patients from receiving VTE.Methods:A Retrospective analyze of time was carried on 54 cases with VTE, who hospitalized because of thrombosis and had a history of obstetrics and gynecology operation in half year, from 2005 to 2010 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University Then, cases with gynecological surgery nearly one year were compared with it about the composition of primary disease and surgical approaches. What's more, we analyzed the relation between VTE with basic blood biochemical parameters by collecting the control cases of VTE after gynecological surgery or childbirth in a case-control form separately.Result:Postoperative VTE occurred more often in 1 months, but in relative terms ,gynecologic was earlier than obstetrical. When comparing hospitalized gynecological patients with VTE patients, the latter had a higher proportion in cancer and there was a statistically significant difference in age. In addition, cases with VTE were found a higher Fib and a lower HDL-C, 4.19±1.28g/L and 1.11±0.23mmol/L respectively. However, laparoscopic surgery did not increase the risk of VTE. During pregnancy, the Hb, Hct and PLT were reduced, while contrary in TC, TG, Fib, HDL-C and LDL-C. It appeared that cesarean section VTE group had a higher Hct and lower TC,TG,HDL-C than the control group. Conclusion:VTE is one of serious complications during perioperative period. Yet, the gynecological surgery elevates the risk of VTE. Age from 40 to 59 and malignant tumor make the risk of VTE increased, while the laparoscopic surgery not. Contrary to HDL-C , fibrinogen is a risk factor for VTE. It occurs more often in 14 days, but pregnancy or puerperal state extends it. The elevated Fib and lipid can increase the risk of VTE in Pregnancy and puerperium.
