Research On Effects Of Shenqi Injection On Patients With Permanent Atrial Fibrillation Of Type Heart Qi Insufficiency

Objective:To compare the efficacy and safety of shenqi injection on permanent atrial fibrillation of Type Heart Qi Insufficiency.Methods:60 patients of permanent atrial fibrillation of Type Heart Qi Insufficiency are randomly divided into two groups.30 cases in the controlled group will be treated with routine Western medicines, and 30 cases in the treatment group will be treated with both the above medicines and additional Shenqi injection. Heart rate, renin activity, aldosterone will be compared pretherapy and post-treatment,Results:1. After the treatment, the renin activity in both group are reduced compared with the pretherapy (P< 0.05), but there is no significant difference between the two groups (P> 0.05). The aldosterone in the two groups are both reduced compared with the pretherapy (P< 0.01 or P< 0.05).The aldosterone in the treatment group are decreased compared with the controlled group(P< 0.05)2. The heart rates in the 7th,14th days are reduced compared with pretherapy (P< 0.01); and there is no difference between the treatment group and the controlled group.3. The total effective rate is 86.7% in the treatment group and 63.3% in the control] ed group. Significant differences (P<0.05) are found in NYHA functional class between the two groups after treatment.4. The patients'symptoms and signs in the two groups after the treatment are better than those before treatment. The total effective rate is 83.3% in the treatment group and 60.0% in the controlled one. Si gni ficant differences (P< 0.05) are found in improving symptoms and signs in the two groups after treatment.5.When the treatment group is compared with the controlled group, there are significant differences(P< 0.01)in improving symptoms and signs of palpitation,shortness of breath,fatigue,weakness and disinclination to talk. 5.There are no significant differences in electrolyte, liver function, kidey function in the treatment group (P> 0.05)Conclusion:1.The patients treated with both routine Western medicines and Shenqi Injection can reduce the renin activity,aldosterone and improve some self reported symptoms more effectively than the controlled group.2.Shenqi Injection is also feasible and safe for clinic use in patients with permanent atrial fibrillation of Type Heart Qi Insufficiency.
