The Clinical Character And Syndrome Of TCM Of Multiple Organ Or System Function Failure

ObjectivesThis exploratory study attempted to know the distribution of multiple organ or system function failure on the syndrome of TCM and the clinical characters.MethodsThis study collected 74 cases of patients with multiple organ or system function failure, the four methods of examination information of Chinese Traditional Medicine and information of laboratory were collected. Input the data to Spss17.0 to statistical analysis, type of Syndrome about TCM analysis use of cluster analysis system (Hierarchical Cluster), in the variable clustering method (Variables Cluster), combined with expert opinions to determine the representatives symptoms of each type, and summed up the syndrome of TCM and the clinical characters. Laboratory data adopted descriptive analysis,chi-square analysis,discriminant analysis,corresponding analysis and primary component analysis to summarize the clinical characters.ResultAfter cluster analysis, summed up five types of TCM, include qi deficiency and phlegm-blood stasis type accounted for 52%, qi deficiency type complicated with phlegm-blood stasis accounted for 19%, phlegm-dampness obstructed in Lung type accounted for 16%, confusion of mind by phlegm type accounted for 8%, disturbance of the haeart by phlegmatic fire type accounted for 5%. and the qi deficiency and phlegm-blood stasis type is the most common syndrome of TCM.Since to the past medical history, hypertension accounted for the most ratio, the heart and lung diseases are important pathological basis in this search.In the laboratory indices, troponin I (TnI) and heart ejection fraction (EF) can be used to judge the syndrome of TCM.Coagulative fuction,blood oxygen state,blood lipid,liver function,hematology,myocardial enzymes etc are the main factors that causes multiple organ or system function failure.The systolic blood pressure(SBP) segmentation had certain statistics meaning with mortality rate(X2=9.878, P=0.043, P<0.05), and keep a linear relation (r=0.306, P=0.008, P<0.05).ConclusionThe common types of TCM of multiple organ or system function failure are qi deficiency and phlegm-blood stasis, qi deficiency type complicated with phlegm-blood stasis, phlegm-dampness obstructed in Lung, confusion of mind by phlegm and Qi stagnation and disturbance of the haeart by phlegmatic fire. In the laboratory indices, troponin I (TnI) had some meaning to judge the syndrome of TCM. Coagulative fuction,blood oxygen state,blood lipid are the main factors that causes multiple organ or system function failure.
