ObjectiveTo analyze the effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine for Triple-negative Breast Cancer in stable period, throgh following up the patients who were diagnosed triple-negative breast cancer pathologically in Guangdong Provincial TCM Hospital.MethodData from triple-negative breast cancer diagnosed and treated in Breast department of Guangdong Provincial TCM Hospital from January 2004 to December 2009 were collected in the retrospective study. All patients should fill in the《Clinical information of TNBC in stable period》and the disease-free survival should fill in the《The FACT-B quality of life of Breast Cancer》Improve data compilation, statistical software package used EpiData 3.1 database framework, the clinical indicators were entered in the database collected. The statistical processing used the SPSS 17.0 analysis software package to test the significance in count data with chi-square test, measurement data with t-test, heterogeneity of variance with rank sum test, survival analysis using Cox survival regression model.Results(1)The group of our hospital patients with TNBC(163 cases) accounted for the same period the proportion of all breast cancer was 8.6%; Tumor stageⅡaccounted for 57.14%, above T3 accounted for 10%,32.9% positive lymph nodes; Age<35 years accounted for 10%, with a family history of cancer accounted for 17.1%, Ki-67 greater than equal to 15% of patients accounted for 59.2%(2) The median follow-up was 2.67 years (1.25 to 5 years),19 cases had local recurrence,18 patients had distant metastasis,1 had second primary breast cancer,102 cases were disease-free survival. A group(TCM treatment duration<1.5years), B group (TCM treatment duration 1.5~3 years), C group (TCM treatment time>3years) three groups of disease-free survival rates were 55.1%,75.4%,96.6%, distant metastasis rate was 26.5%,8.2%,0.0%, Mean disease-free survival time was 1.73 years,2.11 years,4.00 years, A pairwise comparison shows that group and B group, A group and C group significantly, suggesting that Chinese medicine treatment time was 1.5 years may improve disease-free survival, reduce distant metastasis.(3) Quality of life scores showed physical condition(p=0.000<0.05),additional concern(for breast cancer patients sub-scale, p=0.048<0.05)C group>Bgroup>Agroup, the difference was statistically significant.Time in the medical treatment of patients with physiological conditions, additional attention has positive affection.(4) Cox regression survival analysis showed that the final consolidation of breast cancer morbidity, and disease-free survival was significantly influential factor is lymph node staging in patients with Chinese medicine treatment and time period may affect the N2 lymph node disease-free survival risk factors, the relative risk RR=4.448 (P= 0.000<0.05), Chinese medicine treatment of disease-free survival time of the protective factors, the relative risk RR=0.997(P=0.000<0.05), the difference was significant.Conclusion(1) The group of our hospital patients with TNBC(163 cases)accounted for the same period the proportion of all breast cancer was 8.6%; Tumor stageⅡaccounted for 57.14%, above T3 accounted for 10%,32.9% positive lymph nodes; Age<35 years accounted for 10%, with a family history of cancer accounted for 17.1%; Ki-67 greater than equal to 15% of patients accounted for 59.2%(2) 1.5 years of traditional Chinese medicine may increase disease-free survival, reduce distant metastasis rate and prolong disease-free survival time.(3) Chinese medicine treatment of breast cancer patients may increase the scores of morbidity, physiological conditions and additional attention.(4) The survival analysis show that the TCM therapy could prevent the triple-negative breast cancer from relapsing and metastasising.
