The ability of consonant phoneme contrast recognition is the foundation of the articulate speech. But it is difficult in the speech recognition of the CI children. However, most of the domestic consonant contrast training materials are lacks of the systemic content and methods of rehabilitation. And it's difficult for therapists to grasp the essence exactly and guide effectively. In this paper, the scientific, systemic, practical methods of rehabilitation for the consonant phoneme contrast are researched and proposed. The targets, contents and schedules of the consonant phoneme contrast are discussed detailedly. This article includes the following:(1) Based on the relevant documents and two experiment research, the main content of the rehabilitation program is determined. The first study is to remove the words on high difficulty through 26 hearing impaired children who have passed the Consonant Minimal Phoneme Contrast Test. The second study is to determine the training time of consonant phoneme contrast pair by intervening 3 children who is being trained the ability of consonant recognition.The program includes main content and extended content. The main content has 316 commonly used words, involving nouns, verbs, adjective and quantifier. They cover 49 percent of all the syllables, and the occurrences frequency of vowels is in general accord with everyday life.Based on the principle of different levels of difficulty, the program is consist of 36 hours, maintaining training from the medium difficulty to harder difficulty, and arranging the easy content into everyday training.(2)With the rehabilitation program, discuss how to implement the rehabilitation and provide Therapists with the practical methods, such as the implanting principle, the procedure. (3) With the application of the single subject experiment (A-B design), one CI child and one HA child are chosen to research the rehabilitation efficacy. And it's proved that rehabilitation program is practical and suitable for both the children with artificial cochlea and that with audiphones.
