Observation On The Effectiveness Of Perilla Oil Soft Capsules And Acipimox Capsules On Patients With Hyperlipidemia

Objective:To investigate the effectiveness and safety of Perilla Oil soft capsules and Acipimox capsules, we treated patients with hyperlipidemia by using the capsules separately and in combined way.Method:90 patients with hyperlipidemia were divided into three groups:the treatment with Perilla Oil soft capsules group, the treatment with Acipimox capsules group and the combined treatment with both Perilla Oil soft capsules and Acipimos Capsule group. The duration of the treatment is 8 weeks. From the comparison we could see that their hyperlipidemic levels, their variations of hepatic functions and renal functions, and their adverse reactions were recorded respectively.Result:TC, TG and LDL-C of the patients in the three groups were reduced after the treatment (P<0.05). HLD-C level was increased in the patients with Acipimox capsules treatment and the combined treatment (P<0.05). No statistic significance was seen in the effectiveness of reduced TC, TG and LDL-C in the Perilla Oil treatment group and the Acipimox treatment group (P>0.05).TC, TG and LDL-C levels could be further reduced by the combined treatment compared with the other two groups and there was statistically significance in its difference (P< 0.05). No obvious changes in their hepatic functions and renal functions could be seen after the treatment and no patients were stopped the treatment because of the adverse reactions.Conclusion:TC, TG and LDL-C levels could be reduced by using Perilla Oil soft capsules. There was the same effect in the treatments with Perilla Oil soft capsules and Acipimox capsules. The combined treatment had better effect on patients with heperlipidemia than either of the other two treatments respectively. Concerning the safety, Perilla Oil soft capsules was better for patients with hyperlipidemia.
