| Objective: To observed the preoperative histopathological changes of colorectal cancer patients,Who underwent CPT-11,5-FU therapy or CPT-11,5-FU combined short-term radiotherapy. Assess the effectiveness of neoadjuvant therapy and find effective treatment scheme. Methods: A total of 41 patients of low rectal cancer were treated with CPT-11,5-FU therapy or CPT-11,5-FU combined short-term radiotherapy. All patients were divided into two groups according to different treatment scheme, including irinotecan group(n=18) and irinotecan combined short-term radiotherapy group(n=23). Observe pathology changes before and after the treatment and compare the two treatments differences. Results: Two groups appeared different degrees of tumor cells degeneration and necrosis under the microscope.Compared with CT imaging before therapy, tumor size of two groups reduced 33.1% and 34.4% averagely respectively. Two groups were graded as follows according to the RCRG score, RCRG1 7 cases(39 percent) VS 18 cases(78 percent),RCRG2 4cases(22 percent)VS 3cases(13 percent),RCRG3 7cases(39 percent) VS 2cases(9 percent). According to pathology evaluation standard ,3 degrees necrosis, cell interstitial fibrosis and intimal thickening in the vessels were observed in two groups was 7 cases(39 percent)VS 17 cases(74 percent);6 cases(33 percent)VS 17 cases(74 percent);3 cases(15 percent)VS 14 cases(60 percent),respectively.(P<0.05). 5 (21.7%)patients achieved pathological complete remission in irinotecan combined short-term radiotherapy group. Conclusion: Based on the pathological changes and mitigation results after treatment, CPT-11,5-FU can be as a neoadjuvant drug for rectal cancer .If above two drugs can combine short-term radiation ,the curative effect is better . |
