Objective To investigate the cell apoptosis and expressions of heat shock protein 70 (Hsp70) and P53 in decidual tissues of early spontaneous abortion, and to explore their relationship. Methods Decidual tissue samples were obtained from 20 women in normal early pregnancy abortion and 20 cases of early spontaneous abortion. Apoptosis cell death was detected by using DNA in situ terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP-biotin nick end labeling (TUNEL). Hsp70 and P53 gene proteins were detected by using immunohistochemical staining of SABC method.Results①Decidual apoptosis rate of spontaneous abortion group [(48.95±2.6)%] was increased as compared with that of the normal early pregnancy group [(5.30±2.1) %], and this difference is of statistical significance (p <0.01);②Gray value of Hsp70 in decidual tissues of the normal early pregnancy group was (157.6±9.8), but in the spontaneous abortion group, the gray value was (139.6±6.3). There is significant statistical difference between them (p <0.01);③Gray value of P53 in decidual tissues of the normal early pregnancy group was (138.3±5.4), but that of the spontaneous abortion group was (117.6±6.6). There is significant statistical difference between them (p <0.01).Conclusion1. there is a close relationship between the increase of decidual cell apoptosis and the incidence of spontaneous abortion,over-apoptosis in decidual tissue cells may be one of the mechanisms for spontaneous abortion.2. The increase of decidual cells was consistent with the increased expression of P53, and P53 may be one of the ways for mediating decidual tissue apoptosis.3. Hsp70 does not inhibit the decidual cell apoptosis, but its expression in the decidual tissues of spontaneous abortion group was increased; this may play a protective role in enhancing the tolerance against stress in decidual tissues.
