Pulse diagnosis is one of significant methods judging diseases in traditional Chinese medicine. Study pulse taking is an efficient measure to develop culture of traditional Chinese medicine. But current teaching of pulse diagnosis lacks of visualization, so that the students are difficult to master the essence of pulse taking. Research on the pulse training system is not only to provide a teaching method for pulse taking and a convenience for the beginners to study sphygmopalpation technology, but also to provide a simulation environment for exploring the characteristics of pulse. Therefore, the pulse training system has a highly values for researching on the pulse taking.Pulse training system is consists of pulse samples, parameter setting unit of pulse training, magnetoelectric pulse generator and so on. It is able to display the pulse with known specific characteristics and reflect the vibration on magnetoelectric pulse generator, so that the person can realize the characteristics of pulse with visual sense and sensory. The paper researches on pulse as a signal with a description method of pulse based on Fourier series. The paper also proposes a method for researching on pulse characteristic based on digital balance technology, and compares it with the method used for handling voice signal.At present there is no single standard on the pulse acquisition platform. The pulse information are not easy to compare in different states by uniform pulse acquisition platform. In order to make these different sources of pulse data apply to the system, this paper proposes a pulse signal normalization method. Pulse data is normalized before it enters pulse training system. That means Amplitude is normalized to 1 and a cycle is normalized to 1024 points with interpolation methodThe subject completes the interface of pulse training system with MATLAB and realizes the trainings of conversion between wiry and taut, pulse power, pulse times, pulse position and so on. Improve the upper computer interface of pulse collection system. Research the characteristics of pulse detection device and describe the static pulse detector test method. Finally, adopt virtual serial port to complete upper and lower computer communication system debugging and pulse data acquisition system debugging about the pulse train on the same computer.
