Analysis On The Detection Rate And Associated Factors Of Dementiain Hospitalised Old People

Background:Dementia is a kind of acquired and progressive syndromes of cognitive dysfunction including disorders of study,memory, thinking, orientation, Understanding,calculating,speech and judgement.Cognitive dysfunction from dementia is often accompanied with reduced control of emotion,social behavior and many kinds of mental disorders.Prevalence rate of Dementia is supposed to rise up rapidly as the Global Aging. China is supposed to confront serious such problem on the foundation of huge population.Now China has more than a hundred and sixty million people above sixty,11% of total population.According to international criterion,China has become one of old-age countries. Because of high prevalence and deformity rate,long course and high treatment expenses,patients' families and society have been suffering tremendous burden.Thus,we investigated the prevalence rate and Risk factor of dementia senile and Cognitive disorder,so that the functional department could recur to prevent and treatment of this kind of disease,and medical workers could provide effective treatment as well as educare.Objective:Risk factor is measurable cause which can indicate high relationship with disease occurring pattern by measurable index.The most important value to understand Risk factors is providing theory reference for disease causes and effective treatment.Prevention of disease occurring is the major aim in health care work.To analyse Risk factors of Dementia senile and Cognitive disorder, so that we could provide evidence for preventment and treatment of this kind of disease. Methods:We retrospectively analyzed 309 aged patients who came from Qilu hospital from the year 2006 to 2009,within 73 patients diagnosed Dementia senile.The assessment was carried out by mini-mental state examination(MMSE) with diagnostic criteria below 26.Every case is collected and physically examined,and diagnosed by specialist.Results:Risk factors as sex,age,blood pressure,blood lipid and glucose have certain effect on Prevalence rate of Dementia senile and Cognitive disorder.Conclusions:These 5 kinds of Risk factors affected prevalence rate of the disease seriously,as reported domesticly.We emphasized that the patients in period of pre-dementia and mild abnormality should be treated actively with integrated measure to prevent occurring or progressing of disease,in order to level life quality.
