With the application of antibiotics in clinical treatment more frequently and widely, the problem of abuse of antibiotics is also more prominent, under the antibiotic selection pressure numbers of pathogens resistant to antimicrobial drugs appeared, so that the efficacy of antibacterial drugs reduce or even failure, some infectious diseases can be cured out of control. If the drug resistance genes can be detected before the drug using in clinical treatment, it will be greatly benefit to the clinical treatment and delay the development of drug resistance. DNA microarray technology for its high throughput, rapid and cost relatively less and other advantages for the resistance gene analysis provides a powerful tool. The object of our study was to develop a microarray for rapid detection of antibiotic resistance genes.our spotted microarray consists of 91 70 mer probes that detect 743 clinical isolated bacterial associated genes that encode resistance forβ-lactams, aminoglycosides, macrolides, Lincomycin amide, streptozotocin class, tetracycline, streptomycin classes, sulfonamides, and fluoroquinolones and other glycopeptide antibiotics. Finally, the DNA microarray results compared with the phenotypic susceptibility test results obtained and the results of PCR detection of resistance genes, respectively. High specificity and reliability of the microarray was achieved...
