| Objective:To observe the effect of treating diabetic peripheral neurophathy with acupuncture and herbs immersing.Methods:The 50 subjects with diabetic peripheral neurophathy were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group. On the basal treatment, the control group was given herbs immersing (warming yang,stimulating the menstrual flow,promoting Blood circulation and relieving pain),and the treatment group was given the treatment of acupuncture and herbs immersing.The changes in the symptoms, the nerve conductive velocity(NCV) were observed in the patients.Results:The results showed that the total effective rate of the treating group was 92%.and that of the control group was 68%.By the ridit test,the effect of treating group was better than the control group,and the difference was very significant.The treating group and the control group also had obviously difference in improving the nerve conductive velocity. The treating group nerve conduction velocity was improved significantly compared with the control group.Conclusions:The changes in the total effective rate and nerve conductive velocity(NCV) in the patients showed that herbs immersing and acupuncture had significant effect for the DNP, better than the control group, and acupuncture can improved the effect of herbs immersing.
