Objective: By evaluating preoperative pulmonary function, discuss the association between preoperative evaluation of pulmonary function and recovery following lobectomyMethods: From January 2010 to December 2011,224 patients underwent pulmonary resection. Of these,178 underwent single lobectomy and 46 underwent pneumonectomy. We divide preoperative pulmonary function into good, medium and poor ,according to MVV and FEV1. Discuss and compare respectively the postoperative recovery time (inspired oxygen ,ICU, extubation , antibiotics ) and complication, then make corresponding statistical analysis. Results:The most of the patients are satisfied with postoperative therapy effect. Compared preoperative pulmonary function and postoperative recovery condition, the most have statistically significant difference (P<0.05).For different surgical size , although a few analysis was not statistically significant, there are some different trends. We should try to increase the samples. The complication rate, according to preoperative pulmonary function classification,is significant difference between single lobectomy and pneumonectomy (χ2,P<0.05).Conclusions:1,Preoperative pulmonary function status is close to recovery following lobectomy. 2,The much better preoperative pulmonary function is and the more less postoperative complication is, but the surgical size is an important influencing factor .3,we should be careful to do the pneumonectomy if preoperative lung function is very poor.
