| Objective:To investigate sociological characteristics, AIDS related knowledge awareness, and sexual behavioral and drug behavior characteristic, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), syphilis helicoid (TP) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection status of men who have sex with men in Linfen city in Shanxi province, to provide, to provide scientific basis for acquired immunologic deficiency syndrome and sexually transmitted diseases prevention and control in the target people.Method:With questionnaire provided by Chinese CDC, we investigated MSM recruted, by going to venues like homosexual bars or parks where they usually aggregate,300 MSM were investigated. Sociological characters, awareness rate of knowledge related to AIDS, sexual bahavior and condom usage etc. were studied.300 serum were collected and antibodies of HIV, TP and HCV were detected. Established data by Microsoft Excel 2003, statistical analysis were conducted by SPSS 16.0 packages.Result:(1) 72% respondents were investigated in various types of entertainment. MSM mainly for young people, of which from 20 to 39-year-old accounted for 80.00%. As much as the 50.67% had married with women. Most MSM education level was high.(2)Generally, awareness rate of HIV/AIDS knowledge regarded prevention and intervention measures among men who have sex with men was higher in Linfen city in Shanxi province. Especially, awareness rate of three main transmission and prevention measures were more than 90.00%.(3) 96.00% had male partners in the past half year, of which 53.82% used a condom every time.44.00% had homosexual behavior within a week recently, mostly once a week, of which 80.07% used condoms.23.58% had commercially sex partner in the past half year, of which 46.27% usde a condom every time, and of which 71.64% used condoms during recently commercially homosexual behavior.35.67% had female partners in the past half year, and only 14.02% used a condom every time, and 24.30% used condoms last time.The rate condom usage during homosexual behavior recently and the frequency of comdom usage during in the past half year had not statistical significance(X2=2.267, P=0.132;X2 =2.310, P=0.129) between two homosexual sex behavior, howere, two homosexual behavior were higher than heterosexual behavior (X2=65.069, P＜0.001;X2=115.046, P＜0.001)(4)Druk user had not been found in Linfen city.(5)Ten MSM were diagnosed sexually transmitted diseasea in the past a year.(6) Recently a year,92.33% had been provided condom release or HIV/AIDS consulting and testing services,47.00% accepted peer education,46.67% had ever been tested HIV antibody.(7) The infection rate of HIV, syphilis and HCV were 1.33%,1.33% and 1.00%, respectively.(8)Logistic regression showed that HIV infection is related to long time living in local time and condom usage during the last homosexual behavior among MSM.Conclusion:High-risk behaviors existed extensively, syphilis and HCV infection were found. among MSM in Linfen city in Shanxi province. Interventions should be strengthened in the city. HIV infection is related to stay the city for long time and condom usage.
