Objective Observing the changes of intermedin/adrenomedullin-2 (IMD/ADM-2) after coronary angiographic and intervention therapy, this study investigated the variation rules of IMD in the process of the development of coronary heart disease as well as its clinical significance.Methods Selecte 52 patients who admitted to our hospital and accepted coronary angiography and intervention treatment from October to December 2010 as coronary angio-graphy and interventional treatment group (hereinafter referred to as crown made intervention group). And 20 cases of healthy individuals as Healthy controls group. All patients recorded name, sex, age,smoking drinking historise,admission blood pressure, past medical history, mea-sured and recorded hemoglobin, RBC deposited, urine specific gravity, fasting blood sugar value, albumin, blood fat, kidney and postoperative 24h kidney function, and calculation glomerular filtration rate.Plasma IMD/ADM-2 contents were measured with rich internet application in 52 patients before,24h after coronary angiographic and intervention therapy, and compared with controls(n=20).Results (1) IMD were significantly lower in patients who received coronary angiographic and intervention therapy than controls (146.85±33.10 pg/ml vs 189.04±56.89pg/ml,p<0.05). (2) IMD were significantly increased 24h after coronary angiographic and intervention therapy (146.85±33.10 pg/ml vs 163.76±56.25pg/ml, p<0.01). (3) In patients who received coronary angiographic and intervention therapy, the contents of IMD were lower in normal's than others (135.50±29.34 pg/ml vs 167.37±18.63 pg/ml, p<0.05) especially after coronary angiographic and intervention therapy (157.10±34.50pg/ml,178.66±24.85pg/ml, p<0.05).Conclusion IMD is lower in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD),the reducation of IMD could be a risk factor of CHD.The content of IMD get higher after coronary angiographic and intervention therapy,it maybe a compensatory reaction of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion injury.
