Purpose:To analyze the levels of the clinical serum CA19-9 on patients with extrahepatic malignant obstructive jaundice. Methods:Retrospectively analysed the serum CA19-9 levels of 148 hospitalized patients with obstructive jaundice in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University and the significance of the CA19-9 for diagnosis extrahepatic malignant obstructive jaundice. Results:The levels of serum CA19-9 in pancreatic cancer group was(550.33士678.59U/ml),for bile duct cancer group was(605.88士966.63U/ml), for ampullary cancer group was (66.83士78.41U/ml), duodenal cancer group was(50.03士44.60U/ml),and the benign group was (42.12士91.08U/ml), pancreatic cancer group and bile duct cancer group has no significant statistical difference (P=1.000),pancreatic cancer group and ampullary cancer group has significant statistical difference (P=0.047),pancreatic cancer group and duodenal cancer group has significant statistical difference (P=0.035) , pancreatic cancer group and the benign group has significant statistical difference (P= 0.032),ampullary cancer group and duodenal cancer group has no significant statistical difference (P=0.999),serum CA19-9 has a high positive rate in the diagnosis of pancreatie caneer, was 80%,bile duct cancer was 68.5%,ampullary cancer was 40.0%,duodenal cancer was 41.7%, they had significant statistical difference(X2=7.841 P=0.049 <0.05).Under the ROC curve to determine, in the diagnosis of extrahepatic malignant obstructive jaundice ,serum CA19-9 has medial value in the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and bile duct cancer, serum CA19-9 has little value in the diagnosis of ampullary cancer and duodenal cancer. Conclusion:In the diagnosis of extrahepatic malignant obstructive jaundice, serum CA19-9 has medial value in the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and bile duct cancer , serum CA19-9 has little value in the diagnosis of ampullary cancer and duodenal cancer.
