Objective:To observe the lymph nodes regression ofâ…¢,â…£a nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC) and adverse effect and toxic effect of inductive chemotherapy, evaluate the effectiveness and safety of TP program. Methods:From June 2010 to October 2010,36 patients with locallyâ…¢,â…£a NPC were accepted by Department of First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University, all the patients accepted TP(TXT+DDP) program inductive chemotherapy 1 cycle, TXT75mg/m2, d1, DDP100mg/m2, d2-3.The lymph nodes of neck were tested by CT (Siemens CT-sim) the day before the induction and after the induction (before the radiation). Lymph nodes volume was calculated by Pinnacle 7.4f planning system. Blood routine,T lymphocytes, liver function and kidney function were tested the day before the induction and after the induction,a week after the induction. Paired t-test was carried out to analysis the volume change of lymph nodes of neck, the change of blood routine and T lymphocytes.Liver function, kidney function, stomach and intestinal toxicity were recorded.One-sample t-test was carried out to analysis the difference between T lymphocytes and normal statistics. Results:There were significant differences in the volume of lymph nodes of neck between before and after induction accordance with CT results, the average decreased volume was 7.57cm3.All the patients could tolerate the induction, bone marrow depression was the most common adverse effects. Conclusions:This study demonstrated that TP induction chemotherapy 1 cycle was effective to the lymph nodes regression ofâ…¢,â…£a nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC) and safe.
