Objectives To analysis the levels of T-lymphocyte in patients with chronic hepatitis B and discuss the influence of T-lymphocyte subtypes level on the treatment effects of adefovir dipivoxil for chronic hepatitis B.Methods The levels of T-lymphocyte in the peripheral blood from the subjects were tested by flow cytoanalyze model (EPICS XL). All cases were selected according to the diagnostic standard from the National Program for Prevention and Treatment of Viral Hepatitis 2000 of XI ' an[1]. All cases have never used immunom- dulator before study. The adefovir dipivoxil was made by the company of Zhengda Lianyungang. To treat with ADV 10mg each time, one time each day, period of 24 weeks. Results The levels of CD4~+, CD4~+/CD8~+ lymphocytes of antiviral treatment in patients with hepatitis B were lower than normal people; After antiviral treatment of adefovir dipivoxil, the levels of CD4~+, CD4~+/CD8~+ lymphocytes were higher than patients without antiviral treatment (p<0.05). There was no significant difference in the levels of CD4~+/CD8~+ lymphocytes between the efficacious and inefficacious group for adefovir dipivoxil (p>0.05).Conclusions Cellular immune function in patients with chronic hepatitis B might be improved by the treatment of adefovir dipivoxil, but the resistance maybe is not significantly associated with T-lymphocyte subtype levels.
