Objective:The aim of this study was to observe the efficacy of zusanli point injection of metoclopramide prevente platinum-induced nausea and vomiting. Methods:This study was a randomized crossover trial.61 patients with non-smoll cell lung cancer diagnosed by pathology were included in the study and received cisplatin-based combined with other chemotherapeutic agents for two cycles. All the patients were divided randomly into two groups:AB and BA. In the first cycle of chemotherapy, the patients in the AB group received zusanli point injection of metoclopramide.but intramuscular injection of metoclopramide was administered to the patients in the second cycle. In the BA group, ntramuscular injection of metoclopramide was used to the people in the first cycle, but patients received zusanli point injection of metoclopramide in the second cycle. Results:Incidences of nausea, vomiting, inappetence and constipation occurred less in patients who received zusanli point injection of metoclopramide (P<0.05). The degree of appetite, nausea and vomiting was significantly improved in the cycle that used zusanli point injection of metoclopramide (P<0.05). Although the percentage of patients with complete response on acutea vomiting was less significantly in the cycle that used zusanli point injection of metoclopramide (P>0.05),the percentage of patients with complete response on delayed vomiting was significantly higher (P<0.05). Chemotherapy combined with zusanli point injection of metoclopramide could inhibit the decrease of the KPS physical force grade (P<O.05), and have little effect on live functon, renal fucton and heart fuction (P>0.05). Conclusion:Receiving zusanli point injection of metoclopramide during chemotherapy can reduce the incidences of cisplatin-induced nausea, vomiting, inappetence and constipation, improve patient's quality of life, and enhance the tolerance of chemotherapy in patients with cancer. Zusanli point injection of metoclopramide is an effective and safe method and deserves further study.
