Clinical Observation Of PVP Treating Osteoprotic Thoracic Vertebral Compression Fracture In Aged Patients

Objective::Observation of PVP for painful osteoporotic thoracic vertebral comp ression fracture treatment and the relevant question for PVP is discussed in this pa per. Methods:From September 2008 to September 2009,27 old painful osteoporot ic thoracic vertebral compression fracture patients with complete informations who r equire PVP,through contrast the preoperative and postoperative scores of ADL and VAS, X-ray imaging results (Cobb'S horns, vertebral compression ratio),statistical a nalysis of the results.Results:27 patients were followed up for 6～22 months after operation (average 14.9 months)VAS Scores of preoperative is 8.370±0.926,reduced t o follow-up0.333±1.732,ADL Scores of preoperative is 4.703±0.465,reduced to follo w-up1.148±0.362,Cobb'S horns of vertebral from 13.96±5.403°to 7.96±4.816°. During follow-up did not occur more obvious changes in.Preoperative vertebral com pression rate reduced from 28.25%±9.554 to 13.96%±6.105,follow-up period did not apparently change.27 patients were not there the spinal cord, nerve root injur y and venous thrombosis, pulmonary embolism and other symptoms, During the foll ow-up also did not appear mentioned complications.Conclusion:1,Preoperative and postoperative PVP VAS scoress,ADL scores have obviously differences, The contra st between them is significant,explain PVP is a great method to treat osteoprotic th oracic vertebral compression fracture in aged patients, Spinal functional recovery is obvious.2,Preoperative and postoperative PVP cobb'S horns and vertebral compress ion ratio change significantly,the contrast between them is significant.
