Clinical Study On Curing Hyper-triglyceride And Obesity By Catgut Implantation At Acupoint

Objective:The article was to observe the effect of catgut implantation at acupoint on curing hyper-triglyceride and obesity Methods:74 cases accorded with the standard of hyper-triglyceride and obesity, ages distributed in 20-60-years old, were divided into two groups:catgut implantation (CI) group and oral administration (OA) group randomly. The CI group,36 cases, was treated by catgut implantation at acupoint, once a week,8 times were given. The OA group,38 cases, was treated by oral administration of 250mg FeiNuoBeiTe, once a day,8 weeks were given. After the treatment courses,the blood lipid levels of CI group were examined and compared with that of OA group wich was set up as control; the body weight was examined and compared with that of pretreatment in itself. Result:After the treatment courses, (1) The changs of triglyceride (TG), high density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C) and low density lipoprotein- cholesterol (LDL-C) between the CI group and the OA group have no significant difference in statistic (P> 0.05). (2) The changs of cholesterol(TC)a nd apolipoprotein-a(Lpa) have significant difference in statistic between the CI group and the OA group (P<0.05). the CI group is better than the OA group. (3) Body weigh was decreased significantly in the CI group. (P<0.05) and was not evident in OA group (P>0.05)Conclusion:The improve effect of Catgut implantation at acupoint for TG and HDL-C and so on is similar to the FeiNuoBeiTe oral administration. The entre curative effect of Catgut implantation at acupoint is better than FeiNuoBeiTe oral administration, it can not only cure obesity but also improve the indexes of blood-lipid. The catgut implantation at acupoint is a good curing method for hyper-triglyceride and obesity.
