Objective:To detect the expression of RRM1 inⅢa NSCLC , and explore the expression status and clinical significance.Methods:50 cases ofⅢa NSCLC were included. The expression of RRM1 in surgically resected cancer tissues were detected by immunohistochemical Elivison two-step method. The survival analysis and COX regression analysis were used .All statistical analyses were performed by SPSS 13.0.Results:(1)An overexpression for RRM1 was observed in 66% of the cases(33/50). In all cases, a mean of 56.78% of the tumor cells had positively stained cytoplasm. There was no significant relationship between RRM1 expression levels and patient sex, ages, tumor histological type, histological grade and lymph node metastasis。(2) The survival analysis (Kaplan-Meier) and Log-Rank statistics were used to compare the median survival time. The median survival time in the patients with high expression of RRM1 (10 months) was significant lower than that in the patients with low expression (22 months)( P <0.001). And COX regression analysis showed that RRM1 expression was an independent prognostic factor. Conclusion:For theⅢa NSCLC patients who received chemotherapy with gemcitabine / cisplatin after operation, low expression of RRM1 can make them benefit from the chemotherapy and prolong the survival time.
