Clinical Study On Liver Function Protection Of "Shenzhu Guanxin Granules" In Lipid-lowering Therapy

BackgroundDyslipidemia is closely related to the occurrence and development of cardiovascular disease, Especially coronary heart disease. it is a component of the metabolic syndrome. the average blood lipid level of people in our country is lower than the developed countries, But the increased range is very alarming. Therefore, a positive detection, prevention and control of dyslipidemia is one of the main content of cardiovascular diseaseas prevention in economically developed areas. In addition to lipid-lowering effect, there are important non-lipid effects of Statin in coronary heart disease.It can effectively treat and reduce coronary events, so it has an important role in the treatment of coronary heart disease. However, the risk of liver toxicity of statin often limits its use in some patients. The status offers a wide range of prospects in hyperlipidemia treatment with Integrative Medicine which is traditional Chinese combined with Western medicine.Regulating Pi and Protecting Xin comes from Professor Deng Tietao who cares coronary heart disease by using "five viscera" theory several years. "Shenzhu Guanxin granules" is a Chinese patent medicine which is made based on the regulating Pi and Protecting Xin theory combined with the deng's experience of treating coronary heart disease. It has the effect of "yi qi huo xue hua yu tong luo".The clinical study showed that it has a significant evidence of efficacy to the Qi Phlegm Obstruction of coronary heartdisease patients. It can significantly reduce the recurrence of chest pain in patients, and reduce the re-hospitalization ratesdue to the incidence of cardiovascular disease in patients.we initially observed that it has a satisfactory outcome with the control of the two risk factors-obesity and lipid disorders which cause the Complications After Percutaneous Coronary Intervention. ObjectiveTo assess the Lipid-lowering effect of "Shezhu Guanxin granules".To assess the protective effect of liver function of "Shenzhu Guanxin granules " in lipid-lowering therapy. To Descript that lipid-lowering may be one of the mechanisms of myocardial protection.MethodsSixty subjects were randomized into treatment group (n=30)and control group(n=30). ALL the patients were treated with Atorvastatin 20mg/d. The patients in treatment group were treated with "Shenzhu Guanxin granules" at the same time. ALT,AST and blood lipid will be measured before administration and after 3 months, to observe the change of the psychiatric symptom, to calculate ALT,AST's recovery rate and increase rate.Results1. After treatment, in both groups,TC,TG,LDL-C drop and HDL-C improve in varying degrees, and treatment group is superior to control group(P<0.05)2.ALT,AST's recovery rate in treatment group is superior to control group,ALT,AST's increase rate in treatment group is lower than control group.Two groups were significantly different. Conclusion1. " Shenzhu Guanxin Capsule" Can help west medicine to improve the Lipid-lowering effect, and to protect the liver function. It is worthy of further research and extension2. Lipid-lowering may be one of the mechanisms of myocardial protection.
