ObjectiveTo investigate the convergence between the somatin sence after puncture Sibai and the visceral sence of stomach in nucleus of solitary tract(NTS) and paratrigeminal nucleus (PTN), and explore the roles which NTS and PTN play in the specific relationships between Sibai and stomach, which will provide solid scientific evidence for the correlativity of acupoints with Zang and Fu organs(Sibai and stomach).Methodâ‘ It was investigated the convergence between the somatin sence of Sibai and the visceral sence of stomach in NTS and PTN using the triple-labeled methods of biotinylated dextran amine (BDA) retrograde trace combined with Fos and CB proteins immunofluomscenee histochemistry. Observe the retrogradely labeled neurons and the transganglioniely labeled fibers/terminals in NTS and PTN which combined with CB neurons labeled Fos possitive by inject BDA to Sibai (one side) of the rats and perfuse formalin to the rats'stomach.â‘¡It was investigated the convergence between the somatin sence after puncture Sibai and the visceral sence of stomach in NTS and PTN using the triple-labeled methods of biotinylated dextran amine (BDA) retrograde trace combined with Fos and CB proteins immunofluomscenee histochemistry. Observe the retrogradely labeled neurons and the transganglioniely labeled fibers/terminals in NTS and PTN which combined with CB neurons labeled Fos possitive after injecting BDA to the stomach serosa and puncturing Sibai (both sides) of the rats.Resltsâ‘ After inject BDA to Sibai (one side) of the rats and perfuse formalin to the rats'stomach, totally 7 kinds of memory cells which are the single label of Fos CB and BDA, double labelling Fos/CB Fos/BDA CB/BDA and three-color Fos/CB/BDA appear in both side of PTN and NTS. The anterograd labeled BDA cells in NTS appare CB immunoreactive and Fos possitive at the same time. Of the CB immunoreactive cells,6.1% anterograd label BDA at the same time,78.9% label Fos possitive and CB/BDA double-label cells appear three-color Fos possitive. There are 2 anterograd labeled BDA cells in PTN,50% of which appear CB immunoreactive and Fos possitive at the same time. There are 2.7% CB immunoreactive cells BDA anterograd labeled and 67.6% CB immunoreactive cells Fos immunoreactive.The CB/BDA double-label cells appear Fos three-color.â‘¡After multi-point inject BDA to the mucosa layer of the stomach and then puncture Sibai, totally 7 kind of label cells which are single-labeled Fos CB BDA, double-labeled Fos/CB Fos/BDA CB/BDA and three-color Fos/CB/BDA appear in both side of PTN and NTS. For the anterograde BDA in NTS,62% appear CB immunoreactive and 88% appear Fos possitive. For the CB immunoreactive cells, 29.2% are anterograde labeled, and 62.3% Fos possitive. In CB/BDA double-labeled cells appear Fos possitive three-label,11 BDA anterograd label cells in PTN, all the cells appear CB immunoreactive and Fos possitive. For the CB immunoreactive cells, about 24.4% appear anterograd-labeled BDA and 62.2% Fos immunoreactive.Conclusionsâ‘ The somatic sense of puncture Sibai and the visceral sense of stomach both afferent to the CB neurons in the NTS and PTN.â‘¡The somatic sense of puncturing Sibai may projective to the NTS through PTN to regulate the stomach, and CB neurons play the important part.
