ObjectiveTo evaluate efficacy of neuropathy of auditory brainstem response (ABR), distortion product otoacoustic emissions (DPOAE),5.07/10g molofilament examination,128 Hz tuning fork in the diagnosis of diabetic neuropathy. To analysis risk factors assciated with hearing loss of diabetes milltus.MethodsFrom October 2009 to January 2010 in Chinese Medical Univercity Affiliated First Hospital,60 patients with type 2 or type 1 diabetes mellitus were enrolled in the study. All patients who have none significant other diseases, underwent the measurements of Nerve conduct velocity(NCV),auditory brainstem response (ABR), distortion product otoacoustic emissions (DPOAE),128Hz tuning fork and lOgSWME. The outcomes of NCV were taken as the golden standard, and the sensitivity specificity, positive and negative predictive values, accuracy, Youden's index and kappa values were analyzed for each test. The risk factors of hearing loss were analyzed by logistic regression analysis.RusultsABR, DPOAE,128 Hz tuning fork,5.07/10g monofilament examination had a kappa value of 0.535,0.490,0.443 and 0.337, respectively. Abnormality rates of ABR and DPOAE were 48.3% and 60.0%. Logistic reggesive analiysis show that FBG,course of the DM are independent risk factors of hearing loss.ConclutionsABR, DPOAE,128 Hz tuning fork examination and 5.07/10g SWME are associated with the NCV examination. ABR and DPOAE examination SWME compared with NCV than 128Hz tuning fork and 5.07/10g SWME NCV examination compared with better sensitivity and consistency, ABR and DPOAE examinations maybe serve as a way of diabetic neuropathy.
