PrefaceThe happening rate of NSCLC is 80%,most of paientis loss the chance of operation. So hemotherapy or radiotherapy is the commom treatment. Chemoradiotherapy is proved better than chemotherapy or radiotherapy. So this article is going on to confirm it.PurposeThe objective of this study was to compare the effect and the clinical toxicity of concurrent and sequential chemoradiotherapy (CRT) with gemcitabine and cisplatin in stage III non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) patients.Materials and Methods58 patients with stage III NSCLC were randomly assigned into two groups.Sequential CRT group:accepted 4 cycles chemotherapy before radiotherapy. Concurrent CRT group:when the radiotherapy was started, chemotherapy was started on the first, forth, eighth, twelfth week.Method of radiotherapy is 3-D conformal radiation therapy(3D-CRT).Method of chemotherapy is gemicitabine and cisplatin.ResultsThe overall respose was 75.9%in concurrent CRT group, and 48.3%in sequential CRT group, difference was happened between two groups(P<0.05). The stable response in concurrent CRT group was 93.1%,and 72.4%in sequential CRT group, difference was happened between two groups(P<0.05). There is difference in myeloid oppression, 100.0%in concurrent CRT group and was 79.3%in sequential CRT group, difference was happened between two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion The concurrent chemoradiotherapy has better overall respose than the sequential chemoradiotherapy. |
