Objective To investigate the safety and the clinical results at the early stage of the patients with simultaneously stapled lobectomyResults The studies based on 81 lung benign diseases lobectomy cases in our laboratory from February 2009 until December 2009.24 cases underwent simultaneously stapled lobectomy and 57 cases underwent isolation ligation lobectomy. We makes a retrospectively controlled study on two groups. Results There is no significant difference on gender, age and the lung lobe with lobectomy between two groups (P> 0.05). The average operation time of simultaneously stapled lobectomy group is 84.17±29.91min, faster than isolation ligation lobectomy group 101.3±36.78min(P<0.05). The average time from cutting skin to cutting of the lobe of simultaneously stapled lobectomy group is 50.29±20.74min, faster than isolation ligation lobectomy group 64.47±35.58min(p<0.05). The average days in wards after operation of simultaneously stapled lobectomy group is 7.33±2.53days, less than isolation ligation lobectomy group 8.54±3.12days(P<0.05). The average drainage from chest tube after operation of simultaneously stapled lobectomy group is 941.9±496.5ml, less than isolation ligation lobectomy group 1261.9±925.1ml(P<0.05). The average days of indwelling chest tube after operation of simultaneously stapled lobectomy group is 4.67±1.91days, less than isolation ligation lobectomy group 5.70±2.63days(P<0.05). There was no surgical mortality. No bronchial fistula, vascular fistula, or bronchovascular fistula has occurred. Conclusion simultaneously stapled lobectomy is a safe and efficacious lobectomy technology with more streamlined and faster postoperative recovery than isolation ligation lobectomy.
