objective To investigate the association between different feeding types and overweight,obesity.Methods Regular follow-up 1108 infants in Zhejiang Province and monitoring their body length and weight,Body mass index(BMI)was used as the diagnosis standard of overweight and obesity. Compare the prevalence of overweight and obesity in different feeding types in 6 months. and analyze the association between the prevalence of obesity in 6-month old and the infancy gender,birthweight,delivery type,maternal age,maternal educational level,occupation,economic status,the timing of the introduction of solid foods.Result There was no significant association of different feeding types with either overweight or obesity among 42-day,3-month,4-month,5-month and 6-month infant after adjusting for effects of the confounders.The infant's gender, was the significant factors influencing current weight.Boys were at 104% higher risk of becoming obese than girls, The partial regression coefficient of the gender was 0.715. Conclusion Different feeding types are not associated with overweight and obesity status in 0-6 month infants.Besides,the infant's birthweight,delivery type,maternal age,maternal educational level,occupation,economic status,the timing of the introduction of solid foods are not the significant factors influencing the prevalence of obesity in 6-month infants.However, there is a positive association between infant's gender and obesity.
