It is an indisputable fact that China has run into aging society, urban as a special place whose development is faster and demographic transits rapidly is aging in advance. As the part of social vulnerable groups, the physical and mental particularity of the senior citizen makes them need more medical services. This paper analyses the types and influencing factors of the current urban elderly medical need by the way of questionnaire, which take changchun as an example. And based on this investigation, explore the social supporting net of the senior citizen and find out the problems of absence of social support, dislocation, phenomenon is not in place, and finally give some suggestions. The paper includes five parts:The first chapter is introduction expounds the background and significance of this paper, and defines the interrelated concept, and reviews the research status of domestic and foreign scholars, and the research methods. The second chapter mainly mentions about the investigation on senior citizen'medicalcare demands. To begin with, the author give a briefly introduction of the basic states of the investigation. And then, inspect the essential elements which effects their demands at the anlge of demographic, sickness, mental health, and social security. After analysing by the methods of Crosstabulation and Logistic, and pick out seven factor which effects their demands most, consisting of gender, age ,marriage status chronic diseases, self-care ability, depressed in mind, state of economy. And draw the conclusions as follows: first, mainly concerning about health conditions of elder female citizens. These elder female citizens are facing more risk in trapping into berefting of their spouse, providing themselves, and lacking of income than any other groups in the society. Secondly, we should pay more attention to the inferior elder male citizens. During the age of 60 to 70, they just retire and really need time to adapt the new role, in this period of time they have got a high risk of sickness. Thirdly, meeting the senior citizens'economic demands. Only solving the problems of income and ensuring the basic life need of elderly people, can we provide a relatively equal environment for their medical care. Finally, enlarging security extent and improving the its level. We should bring the citizens who are excluded into the basic medical insurance system for urban residents as soon as possible and along with economic development level, improve it gradually. The third chapter analyses the social support network about the medical needs of senior citizen. Through questionnaire and interviews, the author believes that families, communities, health institutions and the government not clearly define their position when they provide material and spiritual to help the elderly, which lead the social support appearance the question such as absence of social support, dislocation, phenomenon is not in place. Among them, the medical needs of the senior citizen which are provided by community are absence. In the actual operation, Community service was restricted by economy, technology, propaganda and other issues which make the community have not sufficiently developed. Many community institutions is still subordinate to the government and not independent commence business. The community services are basically absence when providing medical and mental services for the senior citizen. Because the deviation of the medical behavior, medical institutions appear dislocation when they provide the medical support for the senior citizen. In stead of providing nonprofit health care, the medical institutions were essentially show the purpose of providing medical services for profit. The government does not reach the policy level when providing the medical support to the senior citizen. The problems including the policy coverage, fund, inadequate security assistance are not enough, these problems directly lead the most difficult living conditions of the senior citizen still not get the help. Thus, the support from family should be the most traditional and the most stable providers. The fourth chapter analyses the social support network meet the needs of urban elderly population in the plight of medicare. The author considers that the traditional status of family afford care to the elder is getting degradation with the quickening pace of modern life ,working pressures and family structure miniaturization. The development of community organizations are over-reliance on government, surface independence will not bring the real self-support,rigid form of community service and lack of innovation which are difficult to attract the old walking out of the houses. To ensure normal operation of daily work, medical institution tries their best to expand the benefit, which depend on his monopoly position of limited medical resources , transforming the public benefit matter into the utility matter so as to increase the income, but the problem of inadequate and unaffordable medical services can not get a good solution as well . Government policy want to give more help and support to the old that are in need , whereas the limited situation of the less receipts the more expenses ,it can only afford the old a lower level medicare , and medical assistance system has not been established , medical demand of the elderly is hard to be transformed into effective demand .The fifth part is the countermeasures of meeting senior citizen's needs. It should keep consolidate the families'subject status in meeting the needs of senior citizen. On dealing with the problems of"community service", to provide the life and medical services which can extremely meet the needs of senior citizen, the government should relax its control and ensure the community administrate independently and also encourage them to raise capital flexibly. And use humanized and high quality medical services attract the senior citizens join the community initiatively. Medical institutions should accept supervision and cut the interest chain actively, and have itself won the morale but no longer interests. The government should increase financial input, and expand coverage of medical care, and raise the payment standard of the senior citizens, and finally turn the table of less government supporting. We can reasonably and firmly believe without any doubt that the senior citizens will spend their later life with happiness and dignity under the support of families, communities, medical institutions and our government.
