Objective:Investigate the cognition about the necessity of nursing care content, the requirement of nursing care knowledge and the pain care in malignant tumor nursing in Grade III-A Hospitals in Changchun. Analyze the problems in oncology nursing cognition and the reasons for that and make the countermeasure, in order to improve the quality of malignant tumor nursing and provide a basis to enhance the professional training of oncology nurses.Methods:Handy sampling method was used to investigate 230 oncology nurses of six Grade III-A Hospitals in Changchun City randomly by using self-designed questionnaire, which covered basic situation and the cognition (including the necessity of nursing care content, the requirement of nursing care knowledge and the pain care in malignant tumor nursing ) of oncology nurses. Set up database by Excel2003 and analyze the data by SPSS13.0.Results:1.There were 71.3%, 47.8% and 36.7% respondents denied having scree- ning test, mental nursing supported and carrying out open discussion about death with the patients and their family members. 2.20.4% and 18.1% respondents thought that it was unnecessary to give first aid to acute complication and evaluate pain caused by malignant tumor. The differences of cognition about the necessity of medication guide to the patients of malignant tumor were significant in different working lifetime.3.More than 80% respondents appeared the need of malignant tumor care knowledge. There was distinction in different educational background nurses in the need of hospice care, rehabilitation nursing and the effective way to communicate with patients and their family members.4.The total test score of malignant tumor pain care was 56.6±14.1, the pass rate was 50.1%, and there were significant differences in different ages, working lifetime and educational background.5.More than 80% respondents have positive attitude about malignant tumor pain care, different educational background nurses have obviously different thoughts about the effective analgesia measures, the instructions of releasing the pain by family members and give analgesics medication on time.Conclusion:1.There are less intervention and screening detection on malignant tumor and the deficiency about psychological supporting and death education to the patients and their family members. These matters can not reflect the special peculiarity of oncology nursing.2.There is a lack of awareness attention to the significance of the pain assessment and the guidance about acute complication caused by malignant tumor in the nurses of oncology department. And the whole degree of knowledge about handling pain care on malignant tumor is poor.3.The requirement of relevant knowledge about malignant tumor is extensive, but the need of hospice care, rehabilitation nursing and the effective way to communicate with patients and their family members is relative lowly.4.The cognition of malignant tumor nursing in different ages, working lifetime and educational background is different.5.It is necessary to change nursing idea of malignant tumor nursing and identify the call of duty, carry out professional training on oncology nurses as soon as possible, and accelerate the establishment of professional oncology nursing teams.
