Objective: To explore the clinical value of 64 segments of multislice computed tomography angiography(64-MSCTA) in posterior circulation ischemia.Methods: Collected from 96 cases of ischemic cerebrovascular disease who underwent 64-MSCTA examination, in 31 cases, patients who were diagnosed with posterior circulation ischemia within 1 week underwent 64-MSCTA and digital subtraction angiography(DSA) examination, in which DSA as a standard measurement, tosses 64-MSCTA diagnostic accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value of Vertebrobasilar stenosis. Statistics plaque type, distribution and calcification of the situation in the 31 cases.Results: By comparing 64-MSCTA and DSA test results of Vertebrobasilar pulse in 31 cases, both Vertebrobasilar artery stenosis degree judgement uniformity are 95.6%, kappa 0.935(p<0.001), the 64-MSCTA diagnosis sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value, and mild degree stenosis in all levels of Vertebrobasilar artery stenosis are 100%,97.78%,88.89%,100%;medium:100%,96.36%,84.62%,100%;severe degree:100%,98.51%,95.45%,100%, occlusion:100%,100%,100%,100%;the total is 100%,97.78%,97.87%,100%. Among 31 cases of patients, who were diagnosed with posterior circulation ischemia, were detected with 54 plaques, of these,28 in Initial segment of the vertebral artery, 7 in Transverse process segment, 5 in the atlantoaxial segment, 8 in intracranial branch of vertebral artery, and 6 in Basilar artery. The probability of artery plaque in Initial segment of the vertebral artery is the highest,52%.Conclusions: 64-MSCTA to Vertebrobasilar main body's image quality is higher, the extracranial segment of vertebral artery's image quality is the best;it can find the distribution of the atherosclerotic plaque in bigger scope, and also in determination of progressing substances;At the determination of Vertebrobasilar Artery stenosis degree, comparing between 64-MSCTA and DSA, the consistency is very high, it can be used at Vertebrobasilar artery stenosis condition.
