Objective: Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) after the acute phase treatment with the drug or with PCI in the basis of intensive therapy in the drug ,and how to choose the timing of PCI , as well as the different treatment methods on left ventricular function and prognosis has been a more contentious topic. The study is to explore the acute myocardial infarction (AMI) that after the acute phase treatment with different timing of Delayed PCI and affection on left ventricular function, in order to investigate the best time of Delayed PCI.Method: Consecutive patients with AMI(N=110), case of patients with AMI were divided into three groups. Group I: cases of after acute phase of AMI complete elective PCI treatment within 1 week. Group II: cases of after acute phase of AMI complete elective PCI treatment within 1 -2 weeks . Group III: cases of after acute phase of AMI complete elective PCI treatment within 2 weeks to 1 month. Review of cardiac function on the time after one week of AMI and AMI than have been treated with different treatment methods for six months. Assessment with LVEF,LVEDV,LVEDd,LVESV,LVESD and E / A ratio. Evaluation of different timing of PCI treatment impact on left ventricular function. All the groups are analysed with the above indicators of echocardiographyas. Analysis with variance to different groups of the patients that before treatment to find out whether there are statistical differences in the basic. Review echocardiography after treatment for six months, re-analysis of variance in each group will find out different methods of treatment for six months whether there is statistically significant. The results before and after the Group of patients treated with the same means were paired T test to find out if the three groups were changes of cardiac function that before and after treatment whether has the statistical differences. Results: Three groups of patients before treatment is basically the same in basic conditions, the difference was not statistically significant (P> 0.05). Treated with different methods , improvement in the degree of left ventricular function and prognosis between the groups was statistically significant (P <0.05). patients with AMI in acute period of less than 1 month had effect on the improvement of left ventricular function, but the timing of elective PCI for acute myocardial infarction (AMI) after the acute phase within 2 weeks had the greatest impact on the improvement of left ventricular function in inhibiting left ventricular remodeling. Conclusions: Patients with AMI across the acute phase treatment with elective PCI within one month is beneficial to the improvement of left ventricular function and to inhibit left ventricular remodeling. The best timing of elective PCI should be 2 weeks after AMI in acute phase .
