OBJECTIVES: To investigate relationship between different gonadotrophin starting time and the outcomes of in-vitro fertilization-embryos transfer.MATERIAL&METHODS: Retrospectively analyzed data of 405 patients undergoing in-vitro fertilization treatment from July 2007 to April 2009 in the reproductive medicine centre of Guangxi.RESULTS:1.For different estradiol level groups, the doses and days of gonadotrophin were higher In group 1 than in the other two groups, statistical significances were observed. Fertilization rate was statistically lower in group 1 than in the other two groups, cleavage rate was lower in group 3 compared with group 1 ,group 2, the difference was statistically significant. No statistical significance about the other outcomes of in-vitro fertilization indicators was observed among groups.2.For different pituitary down-regulation days groups, fertilization rate of group 2 was statistically lower than that of the other two groups, and the estradiol level on gonadotrophin starting day also was lower in group 2. The difference about the other outcomes of in vitro fertilization among groups was not statistically significant.CONCLUSIONS:1. Too low estradiol level on gonadotrophin starting-day may cost more gonadotrophin days and doses.2. Too low estradiol level on gonadotrophin starting-day may cause fertilization rate decreased; Too high estradiol level may lead to lower fertilization rate and cleavage rate.3. The estradiol level between 25pg/ml and 50pg/ml may result in better outcomes of in vitro fertilization.4. No significant difference of in-vitro fertilization indicators was found among different pituitary down-regulation days goups.
