Myeloid/Natural Killer Cell Acute Leukemia-one Case Report And Review Of Literature

Objective:To report a case of myeloid/natural killer cell acute leukemia.Methods:The characteristics of myeloid/natural killer cell acute leukemia with promyelocytic cell-like morphology and its treatment were discussed with review of literatures.Results:The patient was diagnosised as myeloid/NK cell acute leukemia,after bone marrow morphological and immunophenotypic examination.After standard combination chemotherap-y, the patient achieved complete remission, but he became refractory leukemia despite aggressive treatment after short remission.Though application of high-dose chemotherapy and comb ined chemotherapy,he had not reached complete remission agian, the patient eventually died of cerebral hemorrhage.Conclusion:Myeloid/natural killer cell acute leukemia has a specific immunophenotypic characterristics,aggressive clinical course with poor response to ATRA treatment and unfavor-able prognosis.
