The Study Of Cervical Lesions And Cervical Cancer Calculated Treatment Cost In Shanxi

Objective:The study calculated treatment cost data of cervical lesions and cervical cancer in Xiangyuan and Changzhi, which can provide basic data for health economic evaluation of cervical cancer early diagnose and early treatment in China and provide references for Hospital Cost Accounting.Methods:The study accounted the cost of cervical lesions treatment by micro-costing, job costing, and the cost of disease in clinical pathway. The hospital related cost center was divided into three sections:clinical cost centers (including the hospital wards, operating rooms and radiotherapy, etc.), medical aid cost centers (including laboratory, pathology, medical imaging subjects, etc.) and logistics management cost centers (including the Treasury, Office equipment, pharmacy, information centers, etc.). Accor-ding to clinical pathway in local, we investigated high qualification^ department head and other persons familiar with the department of clinical cost centers, including of treatment details of LEEP, Conization (Cold knife), Hysterectomy, Extensive abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral pelvic lymphadenectomy, Radiotherapy, Chemotherapy, Neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NAC). Medical aid cost centers was investigated in the same way. We got staff salaries,the expense of utilities and oxygen,the purchase price and packaging units of pharmacy,Consumables and equipment from logistics management cost centers. The project cost of clinical treatment and Medical assistant examination were calculated in according with the technical details and cost data in survey. We combined the relevant project costs by clinical pathway of each treatment, and calculated the average treatment cost.Results:The total costs of each treatment about cervical lesions in Changzhi were as follows:ï¿¥2016.6 for Conization, Y 2863.3 for Hysterectomy, Y3817.4 for radical hysterectomy, Y 1937.4 for radioth-erapy,ï¿¥7327.6 for a new auxiliary chemotherapy (before surgery),ï¿¥904.3 for the postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy. The total costs of each treatment about cervical lesions in Xiangyuan were as follows:ï¿¥494.6 for LEEP,ï¿¥976.8for Conization,ï¿¥1063.3 for Hysterectomy. In Changzhi, the proportion of anesthesia was highest in surgical treatment as mainly, while the proportion of hospitalization costs was highest in chemotherapy treatment as mainly. The costs of diseases,project costs and the composition of cost were different in the two hospitals. (2) This study accounted the cost of all treatment in the two hospitals, which was further study of the cost of disease. The cost data provided more detailed treatment of cost for health economic evaluation of cervical cancer early diagnose and treatment. (3) Comparing with other cost study about medical services, this study comprehensive used micro-cost, the cost of disease in clinical pathway and job costing, which could provide more accurate estimates of the actual cost of treatment. Besides that, this costing method was operational.
