Microperimetry Evaluation In Central Serous Chorioretinopathy After Different Treatment

Objective:In this sdudy,we used Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscope(SLO) Microperimetry for the therapy evalution in Central serous chorioretino-pathy before and after treatment, finally the results we did could provide preference for the treatment of CSC.Methods:The patients diagnosed of CSC in the early course(≤3m) with fluorescent angiography in the outpatient were choosen in our study and excluded patients with Glaucoma,other retinal diseases and any intraocular surgery or laser therapy ever,hypertension,nephropathy,diabetes,and medi-cine used in the same with our study,corrected visiual acuity<0.1,conditions not meet Microperimetry inspections.All patients were informed and agreed with our study,and 6 month time the could followed with our study.A total of 60 cases were chsen and 2 cases were excluded for the leakage point within 250μm and not suitable for further study.So 58 cases was in our study finally,including monocular in 54 patients,both suffered in 4 patients and in accordance with the principle of random distribution devided into two groups:laser therapy group and drug therapy group,and there is no significant statistical difference in age,gender,disease duration and vision distribution. Finally we studied 55 eyes(51 cases) in all. The laser group including 29 case treated with laser machine produced by Chenxian company for the blocking the leakage location and drug therapy group included 26 case treated with traditional medicines used for CSC patients. 6w,12,24wAfter therapy all patients were followed up for examination of visual acuity, intraocular pressure, refraction, fluorescein angiography, SLO-OCT, Microperimetry and a contrast would be done in two groups and changes in various clinical indicators in different treatment group were analyized. Results:1)6 weeks after treatment:vision and visual acuity in microperimetry meseament was elevated in laser therapy compared with medicine therapy and had a statistically significant meaning(both p<0.05). FFA showed that cure rate in laser therapy group was 75.9% compaired with 38.5% and a statistically significant meaning in laser therapy group compared with medicine group in Chi-square test. OCT showed that the leval of neural epiyhelium and pigment epithelial reseted better in laser therapy group than medicine group after treatment.2) 12 weeks after treatment:vision and visual acuity in microperi-metry meseament was elevated in laser therapy compared with medicine therapy and had a statistically significant meaning(both p<0.05). FFA showed that cure rate in laser therapy group was 89.7% compaired with 61.5% and a statistically significant meaning in laser therapy group compared with medicine group in Chi-square test. OCT showed that the leval of neural epiyhelium and pigment epithelial reseted better in laser therapy group than medicine group after treatment.3) 24 weeks after treatment:FFA showed that cure rate in laser therapy group was 93.1% compaired with 88.5% and no statistically significant meaning in laser therapy group compared with medicine group in Chi-square test. OCT showed that the leval of neural epiyhelium and pigment epithelial reseted had no difference in laser therapy group than medicine group after treatment. vision and visual acuity in microperimetry meseament elevated in laser therapy compared with medicine therapy had no statistically significant meaning(p>0.05).Conclusion:The CSC patients in early process and first risk could take laser therapy with 532nm laser,it was low energy,effective,faster recovery than medicine in clinic therapy. So we concluded the laser therapy could be the first choice for CSC patients in early process,first risk and the leakage point out of 250μm.We suggested that microperimetry evaluation could be used to evaluate the function of retina and the effect of treatment in laser therapy and medicine therapy.Meanwhile SLO microperimetry was more simpler, quantitativer and exacter than other examination method.
