Objective:Observed and measured ankle joint's medial and lateral ligament, including their length, width and thickness. And explore their constitute, line feed, attachment, and relation.Method:Using 8 fixed and antisepticised adult male specimen. Measuring their feet length and anatomise ankle's medial and lateral ligament, including their line feed, attachment, length, width and thickness, then make statistical analysis. Results:Foot size has a scaling relation with ligament, including the latter's length, width and thickness. Ankle lateral ligament including anterior talofibular ligament, posterior talofibular ligament and calcaneofibular ligament. According to the measurment, the length of talofibular ligament is (26.56±2.94,3.95±0.51,1.26±0.13) mm, the width of posterior talofibular ligament is (25.32±2.67,4.69±0.61,3.32±0.42) mm, and the thickness of anterior talofibular ligament is (30.97±2.53,4.43±1.09,2.09±0.95) mm. Ankle medical ligament including two layers. The superficial including tibionaviculare ligament, tibial ligament and ligamentum calcaneofibulare(28.77±2.34,2.70±0.59) mm, the layer including frontier talotibial ligament (13.10±1.52,1.80±0.40) mm and thick ligament, the result is the length of tibionaviculare ligament is (15.96±2.41,1.49±0.33) mm, the thickness of posterior talotibial ligament is 4.95±1.29 mm.Results:There is a relationship between foot size and the length, width and thickness of ankle's medial and lateral ligament. This research provide morphologic evidence and anatomy basement for:the rebuilt of ankle's medial and lateral ligament, ligament laxation and vertical talus, clubfoot and strephexopodia casing by ligament contracture.
